Hi guys, I have some problems when I try to reverse into my EclipseDatabase a MS Access Schema. I'm using last version of eUML2 Studio Edition (with regular license of course).
I followed these steps:
- I created an a DSN onto ODBC Data Source Administrator panel, with target on my MS Access DB.

- I launched the connection wizard of EclipseDatabase; I was set:
Database Type: Access
Database Driver: sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
JDBC Level: 1.0
JDBC Connection Url: jdbc:odbc:myDSN
Reverse check box: checked
Meta Data check box: checked

Validate DTD : checked
Reverse Filter: none (al settings unchecked)
DTD Validator: soyatec Local DTD

When Eclipse Database was performing reverse operations it was displayed "This driver doesn't support PRimary Key analysis" and "This driver doesn't support Foreign Key analysis".
At the end of reverse operation I obtained reversed schema but without any dipendencies and relations betweens imported tables.

I tryed several times using different DTD Validator but I was not able to reverse my schema with all relations.

How can I perform my import operation from Access database? It is very important for my job resolve this problem.

Thank you in advance

Regards

Since you have a regular license of course, you can write to our support (at) soyatec.com with your license number.

Best regards

Hi,

This limitation is due to the default jdbc:odbc driver provided by sun.
This driver is unable to retrieve metadatas for access.

You should try another driver.

To my knowledge try this commercial driver :
http://www.fivesign.com/downloads/program/StelsMDBfast-MS-Access-JDBC-driver_74269_90.html

Thanks
